A theory repeatedly supported is sometimes called a law.
b. Published research should provide detail to allow anyone to repeat the experiment in the same manner.
c. Only one experimental variable is used in an experiment.
d. Consistent observations about a hypothesis may lead to a theory.
e. Theories formed in everyday life carry the same validity as a scientific theory.Regarding the scientific method, which statement is false?
I think it's ';e';. The definition of validity is--validity has to do with the degree to which the tool (tool meaning, what is used in collecting data, like a survey or questionnaire would be a ';tool';) measures what it is suppose to measure.
There are two types of validity: 1) Face 2)content
So therefore, ';e'; would be false But ';a'; doesn't sound right either!! You'll have to choose.Regarding the scientific method, which statement is false?
If you can only pick one answer I'd go for e. Religiously based theories often depend on faith in a way that they cannot be proved to be false.
If you can have more than one answer I'd go for c as well. Although simple experiments may have just one variable, experiments often test multiple variables at once.
On all of my experiments I would say...
C.
