Why is this statement false? ';If e^(x+1)-e^(3x)+1=5 then x+1-3x+ln1=ln5';? ?

I had forgotten () in my previous questionWhy is this statement false? ';If e^(x+1)-e^(3x)+1=5 then x+1-3x+ln1=ln5';? ?
you have to take the natural log of all of both sides, not piece by piece:

ln [e^(x + 1) - e^(3x) + 1] = ln 5

this is not the same as ln (e^(x + 1)) - ln (e^(3x)) + ln 1Why is this statement false? ';If e^(x+1)-e^(3x)+1=5 then x+1-3x+ln1=ln5';? ?
Subtract the 1 first; it'll be ln4
