You also have to repay the benefit on top of the cusdodial sentenceWhat is the maximum fine for a false statement to get income support?
Unlimited hopefully, imprisonment with a bit of luck...
I have no time for people stealing from the tax payers...What is the maximum fine for a false statement to get income support?
Well you could end up with a criminal record .. depending on the monies recieved if it is a lot a jail term and or repayment of the monies and never claim benefits again
to much of the tax payers money is being stolen by benefit cheats the real hardship cases are being hounded to prov that they are real the swindlers have been at it that long that they have all the answers
Prison I hate benefit cheats who defraud the tax payer so hope it would be for a very long time
The fine would be dependent on how long you had been defrauding for and for how much money. Then also to have to pay back all the money you had fraudulently taken, and also the possibility of a long prison term.
Definately not worth it.
Anyone who tries it deserves the maximum the law can through at them.
jail, its called fraud
why you think they spend so much money on advertising
I don't know about fines but you can get between 3 months and 7 years in jail for benefit fraud.
Personally I think anyone robbing the tax payer should automatically be jailed...no fines / community service. Make the punshment harsh and they'll think twice about doing it again.
Don't even think about it. You could seriously be charged with a felony and go to jail. It's not worth it.
This is the worst type of fraud as it effects all tax payers, the
poorest as much as the rich. Its smilier to Disability Benefit
fraud which is rampant in the UK, at least 25% of claims are
false. Punishment should be set at a level to erradicate these
social cancer.
