What does it take for a compound conditional statement to be false??? How can one be false??

For example: If a figure is a parallelogram and has 4 right angles, then it is a rectangleWhat does it take for a compound conditional statement to be false??? How can one be false??
In a conditional statment involving an ';and'; combination of events for the conditions, only one of the conditions must be false in order for the statement to be false. However if the statement involves an ';or'; combination of events, then both conditions must be false in order for the statement to be false.

In your example if we have a parallelogram but it doesnt have 4 right angles then it is not a rectangle.

Hope this helps,

Well, the statement

3 is a prime number and 27 is a perfect square

is a compound statement which is false.

The statement

If 3 is a prime number and 7 is odd then 27 is a perfect square

is a conditional compound statement which is false.
