The south has some of the best colleges, universities, and schools in the world. Not to mention the ever-prevalent bio-tech industry (which promotes education and many, many well paying jobs). An agricultural economy, which helps feed and support the US and other countries. Dollar-for dollar, we have many, many schools that can compete with the Ivy league. Duke, NC State, NCSSM, Kansas University, Witchita, the UNCs and many more. And of course tourrism. And exports. It's much cheaper to live here. Well, by the dems ignoring it and trying to vilify the south. That has kept the dems out of the white house for two terms now. Also I think the country really likes eating so I am pretty sure yall enjoy the agricultural part of what we do.
