my boyfriend is being charged with a false statement to an officer, because he told them i stole his truck, but the police investigated the charge and said it was false and found out he assulted me. Why are you going to court if the police charged him with making a false report? Didn't the courts dismiss the charges? Call the court and explain your situation maybe they overlooked it by mistake. They do make mistakes, I once appeared in front of a judge to fight a parking ticket and my offense came up as something totally different, the judge just kind of laughed and dismissed the charge.

if u did steal the truck.. and he wasent lying.. uh DUH yea of course.. if hes lying. .he can be charged with filing a false report. and delaying obstructing a police investigation.. perjury if he swore under oath.. anddddd u can sue him civil court.
