well, I lived in springfield for over 10 years, and if anybody will hire somebody with a criminal record, people in massachusetts will.

I dont think having a criminal record ever completely keeps you from getting government contracts, or a job.

Oh, and you can file a counter suit through the massachusetts attourney general, since their main job is catching corrupt businesses. Is it possible to work for hud in spfld,ma as a contractor with a criminal record, perjury and false statement?
Yes it is discrimination but it is legal and appropriate discrimination. You broke the law. Employers have a 100% right to fire you because of it and there is nothing you can do. It's part of the punishment. There are 10 guys behind you with no criminal record and now they deserve a government job more than you do. Sorry but you blew it. Keep your nose clean for a few years and this will all blow over.
